Best Online List (Wrapit) |
 |
The best online gift list company is www.wrapit.co.uk - it’s got about 30,000 goodies to choose from together with the ease of organisation that goes with a good website.

A Wrapit wedding list can easily be arranged from the comfort of your own home, which is certainly appealing if you don't like shopping.
If you do want to see what's on offer, they also have 14 showrooms around the country where you’ll be welcomed at one of their Saturday open house sessions, with a coffee and Danish pastry included as you browse and chat to one of their expert advisers.

Setting up your list using the website is free, fast and easy, even if you're not a computer whizz. It features more than 350 different brands, including 500 ranges of china, as well as lots of ideas for couples who have all the traditional basics. How about owning a piece of your own vineyard? Fancy commissioning some art? You can even ask your guests to contribute towards a romantic weekend away? Beats a toaster any day.
Pepita Diamand, founder of the website, recently won a Small Business Award from Management Today magazine and she is estimating that the company will manage over 2000 wedding lists this year.
Woman's Own magazine described Wrapit as "the ultimate wedding list service" in their 2006 wedding special issue. |
Big Day Boutique |
Find what you’re looking on the website by using the left hand "departments" featuring cooking & dining, furnishings, gardens, electrical, gizmos, adventure & travel, mind, body & soul. And if something you really want isn’t on the site, the Wrapit people will do their best to track it down for you.
The site also includes a Big Day Boutique where you can find a whole range of gifts to thank the best man, bridesmaids and your parents for their help, as well as things like photo albums and guest books.

Once registered, your guests can simply log on and order whatever they like using a credit or debit card. For more expensive items, a group of guests (like workmates) can club together and buy using Wrapit gift certificates. You get regular updates of who has bought what, just in case you are proving very popular and need to add extra items.
Gifts are delivered on a specified date about 8-12 weeks after the wedding (they can’t keep everything in stock, so it gets ordered as a guest buys it from the list) but they do have a price promise that if you find any item cheaper on the John Lewis website, you’ll get a Wrapit gift voucher for the difference, no questions asked.
Items are delivered free in the UK and can be stored for up to a month free of charge after the list is closed. Your presents are not individually gift wrapped but do come in presentation boxes.
