Debenhams is a veritable one-stop shop for weddings these days, offering everything from dresses and suits to bridesmaids' outfits, stationery and accessories - and an easy-to-use gift list service.
What will appeal to many couples is the huge range of brand names available to choose from. Debenhams stocks just about all the big names in china, glass and linens as well as everyday household electricals from food mixers and smoothie makers to the hottest new Dualit toaster. |

And unlike many other shops, at Debenhams you get to use a scanner to compile your list. No more using a clipboard and pen - all you have to do is scan the bar code of your favourite items and they go straight onto a master list in the weddings department. This will definitely appeal to the reluctant shopper (that's most men!) and makes the whole process fun rather than a chore.

Once you have chosen the items you want to put on your wedding list, this is given a code and put onto a computer which you and your guests can access whenever you like. Pre-printed cards are available to pop in with your invitations giving details for your account.
Guests can select and pay for items using any of the major credit or debit cards. And to give them a clue as what items you really want, favourites are highlighted. Guests without online access or who prefer to choose items in person can do so in their nearest store, quoting your name and list reference number.
You can track who has bought what by accessing the purchase history section on the website.
