Best Budget List (Argos)

Wedding Lists - Argos | MediumFor couples who want to kit out their first home together with all the basics, Argos is the place to go. Masses of choice - from furniture to iPods - great prices and you can do it all online as well.

Argos stocks more than 7,500 items so it shouldn't be difficult to find plenty of ideas from their jumbo-sized catalogue. You won't be wowed by the designer name china and style-conscious cutlery, but what you will find is affordable quality on a wide range of items from kitchen and dining right through to furniture, garden equipment and slightly more unusual gift ideas such as exercise bikes and iPods.

I would recommend Argos to the couple who still need lots of household basics. Perhaps you haven't already lived together and are setting up home for the first time? If you have yet to buy a toaster, kettle and crockery, Argos have lots of choice and most things are very keenly priced.

Wedding Lists - Argos | MediumConfetti.co.uk, the UK's biggest wedding website also recommends Argos as one of their favourite wedding list companies.

The site describes the service as offering "the reassurance of a dedicated team of wedding advisers just a phone call or e-mail away to deal with any queries and offer advice".

How it works

New catalogues come out every year in January and July so it's as well to wait for the latest edition before choosing your gifts. Make a list of item reference numbers and either input these yourself online or post them to the Argos wedding department and an online list can be done for you.

Your list will then be ready to be viewed by you and your guests at home using your personal reference number. Your list can also be viewed online at any Argos store when your reference number is quoted.

Guests can buy online, over the phone or in store using any of the major credit or debit cards. Items are either taken away by the guest to wrap and give to you on the big day or are delivered, usually within 2 days of purchase. Presents are not stockpiled to be delivered to you on one given date after the wedding.

Argos gift vouchers are also available and can be included on your list, enabling you to shop at your leisure at a later date.
