The ultimate in speed. Orca's Apex for the competition triathlete is the fastest wetsuit on the market. Reviewers all agree, the Apex is the best wetsuit around for swimming at speed. |

Ten years after the first Orca triathlon wetsuit set new standards in speed, the brand continues to create the fastest wetsuits. "New materials, new technology, same goal: The world’s fastest triathlon wetsuits," writes Tri Sports magazine.
The Apex is Orca's highest-level offering for the competition triathlete who demands enhanced performance. Its main feature is the "AirLite" body paneling - internally crafted air cavities sealed within the neoprene which provide extra buoyancy. |
Real Speed |
This feature lifts the athlete up on top of the water into the most natural swimming position. This immediately eliminates balance problems and drag created by dangling legs.
Orca boasts that its' AirLite technology makes the 4mm suit 15% lighter than regular smoothskin neoprene, offering a 25% increase in buoyancy. "Glide on a cushion of air," boasts Orca.
Independent reviewers agree. "The Apex uses the world's most buoyant triathlon-legal neoprene," says the triathlon magazine All3sports. "These air pockets naturally lift you higher in the water, reduce drag, and put your body in the fastest swimming position."
While it is not the cheapest wetsuit on the market by a long shot, triathletes do feel a market difference. "A guarantee of improved swim times" is how All3sports. |
