Best Slalom Setup (Sk8Kings Axe) |
 |
Sk8Kings Axe, Manx 69mm slalom wheels, Tracker RTX front truck, and Tracker RTS rear truck. The Sk8Kings Axe has a reputation as a winner, with racers such as Richy Carrasco and Lynn Kramer climbing the world rankings on it. It also comes at package price that’ll make champions of all of us. |
| |
The Axe is an extremely tough 8-ply maple deck with a deep concave, and a pronounced kicktail, upon which the rear truck is mounted. This is quite a novel approach, considering that most slalom decks are relatively flat, slightly cambered, and with a minimum of concave.
In short, this deck breaks all of the rules of slalom racing. And, lo and behold, it works like nothing else on the market today. It is quickly becoming one of the most consistent race winners around, and unfortunately for their competition, not many other slalom decks can match that claim at the moment. |
Great Value |
Sk8Kings offers this deck set up with the very solid, very reputable Manx 69mm slalom wheel, and Tracker trucks- and RTX in the front (for quick turning through the cones), and an RTS rear (for stability).
Better still Sk8Kings offers the board as a package at just $160/£85. To put this into perspective, many slalom decks alone - no wheels, no trucks - can cost upwards of $160/£85, and as much as $349/£185. |

Typical Prices - Around £85/$160 |
