 In any industry there are lesser-known brands that produce excellent gear but don't have the marketing or promotional budgets of the big boys, and Kane Golf is one of them. Golfers can be equipment, or brand, snobs but if you can overcome the "marquee name" complex that many players seem to have, this is the best bargain in golf – an excellent driver, from a company of which you’ve probably never heard.
Time for a secret. Almost all the major manufacturers, with the exception of Ping, have their clubs manufactured, and usually assembled, in the Far East. Glasgow-based Danny Kane designs his own clubheads, buys in top-quality shafts and grips and uses those same oriental manufacturing plants as many of the more prestigious names.

 The result is a good quality, easy-to-use, proficient club and in a blind test I would bet that nine out of ten golfers couldn't tell the difference between the Big Easy and something at twice the price.
The clubhead, thanks to an ingenious colour combination, is extremely easy to set square behind the ball and when you swing, the sweetspot is easy to find. I played one (11 handicap) very happily for three years but the most important reason for considering it is that it works.
