Best For Partying (Whistler-Blackcomb) |
 |
Want to burn the candle bright at both ends? Then head for Whistler. It's not as big in terms of lifts as some European resorts but it has enough off-piste and backcountry action to last even the best skiiers a lifetime. And when you're done skiing there's plenty of bars to chill in. |

For those who want it all, particularly a rocking party scene with endless club, bar and nightlife choices it’s hard to go wrong with Whistler.
Located a mere 2 hours from Vancouver, the resort has one of the best party scenes of any ski resort in North America, and is also blessed with tons of snow: during the epic 1998-99 season, the resort chalked up a whopping 1,676 inches.

If there is a drawback to Whistler it is that the resort’s coastal location can make the weather fickle: one day it will snowing, the next day it can rain, with predictable effects. But the mountains are high enough that even if there is rain, it still will be snowing – hard- up top.
And when your day is done, there’s an insane selection of bars, restaurants and other diversions to entertain yourself - if you can still walk. And plenty of powder to ski the next day, too, if you can get out of bed.

Avoid the holiday season when the resort is clogged by both tourists and families from Vancouver.
