Best All-Rounder (Barclaycard Simplicity 6.8%APR) |
 |
If you only want one credit card go for this one. It will cost you nothing if you clear your balance each month. Better still, it will charge you less than any other comparable card on the occasions that you don’t. It’s a great all-rounder. |

Like most credit cards, Barclaycard Simplicity does not charge interest for 56 days following a purchase, so if you pay your balance off each month the card will cost you nothing.
But with this card even if you do miss a monthly payment – and most of us do occasionally – you will only pay interest at 6.8% APR. That’s one of the lowest normal standard rates currently available. |
Cheap, Plain and Simple |
The card has no annual charges or other unusual nasties, and other benefits include a reasonably competitive balance transfer rate, also of 6.8% APR.
If it is just one cheap, plain and simple card you are after for the long term then Barclaycard Simplicity should be it. |

Pros: - No charge if you clear balance each month - Very low interest if you don't
Cons: - Nothing unique |
