The parent unit of this monitor includes a 5in black and white video screen, so as well as listening in to your baby or children when they are in another room, you can see what they are up to too. This gives reassurance to parents with a very young baby, and to those who want to ensure that their toddler isn't destroying anything too valuable.
The black and white camera has infra-red night vision, so you can see your child day and night. Images can be transmitted wirelessly up to 100m with line of sight, or up to 30m through walls or other obstructions.
It should be noted that it uses the same 2.4GHz frequency used by wireless PC networks, so you will have to reset the frequency of your computer to prevent interference.
If you want, you can switch off video mode and just listen to your baby. To ensure the best sound quality the baby unit has a multidirectional microphone that can be positioned to pick up every sound your infant makes. It also has a self-filtering feature which cuts out any household noise.
