Best 'Tracker' (Trident 3 in 1 Alarm, £7.95) |
 |
This gas powered three in one alarm not only makes an ear piercing sound, but a horrible smell is emitted and your attacker is ‘branded’ with an ultraviolet marker that may help the police track them down afterwards. If you want your attacker caught this is the one. |

The gas powered Trident 3 in 1 is a sophisticated alarm but remains easy to use and fires simply at the touch of just one button.
Better still, it emits a deafening 138 decibel shriek and a rancid smell that will remain on the attacker’s skin for some time. Added to this, the attackers clothing is marked with an invisible ultraviolet marker spray which can be detected later by police with special lights. |
| |
“These three features act to help by creating an environment for the attacker that is unpleasant and encourages them to flee”, says Garforth Alarms and Security, one of the biggest distributors of personal security alarms.
The Trident 3 in 1 was voted a best buy by the Mail on Sunday newspaper. “The noise alone should send everyone within half-a-mile racing for cover, and the smell is disgusting. We should all have one!”, it said.
The alarm will operate for three minutes once activated and is small at just 10.5cm x 3.6cm.
A possible drawback is that you too could be caught by the smell and the marker spray. |

Pros: - Triple action - Simple design - Very loud
Cons: - Smell and marker could blow back - Requires gas refills |
