For those who absolutely will not compromise on style. This egg shaped metallic alarm is so attractive, at first glance you’d have no idea it was a personal alarm at all. It can even custom engraved with your initials or monogram. |
| |
| Definitely the most attractive looking alarm on the market, you can hang the Dalvey Personal Travel Alarm around your neck as a pendant so it can easily be accessed in a moment of danger. |

It also doubles, however, as an anti-theft device. All you do is secure the cord around your wrist like a bracelet and then attach it to your handbag or briefcase. If anyone tries to grab it an alarm will sound and continue to go off as the thief tries to run away.
Frequent traveller Jo Taylor, an investment banker, finds it in invaluable: “I travel abroad a great deal and I often have to carry important documents in my hand luggage so it gives me extra peace of mind to know that if someone did make a grab for my bag they’d get a bit of a shock.”
You can also set the Dalvey up as an intruder alarm. If you want to leave a window open, for example, you can use a special attachment which comes with the alarm to make it sound if an intruder disturbs it.
Although this is a pulsating alarm it does sound different enough from other alarms such as cars and burglar alarms.
The disadvantage is that it’s not as loud at 105 decibels as some of the other alarms but in terms of style, portability and flexibility of use, it’s certainly considering. |

Pros: - Very small - Looks great - Highly versatile
Cons: - A bit fiddly - Not as loud as some |
